This project involved a fountain top child that broke in two pieces. I was able to fix and add some years to the cherished cement sculpture
THE FOUNTAIN TOP: SCULPTURE REPAIR
- Start with cleaning the surfaces from paint and age.
- Once cleaned, I drilled 3 holes in both sides using chalk as a register( pink dots) I used aluminum pieces from masonry supports
- I was able to avoid epoxies and use natural product for everything
- I rubbed fine cement into a number of cracks found throughout statue
- Once the statues were repaired
- I covered with stucco coat to match original piece
- Last step I painted entire piece in masonry paint
- I really feel the final results are amazing!
- Long life should live many more years!
